The core photo is of a dear friend’s daughter setting up her doll house in her cubby house at her house – the act of belonging three-fold.

Wisteria all over the world only goes in full bloom for about 2-3 weeks. It’s taken me years to allow myself to finally have a studio at the legendary Montsalvat, and the stars have aligned to land me a daydream of a studio right by the poolside, where the wisteria also just happens to be.

Recently, the purple variety was in full bloom, and I had a front-row seat at all hours in different natural light to document this fabled natural phenomena. I’ve rendered the photos in different ways and printed them on different types of paper, and then cut them out to complete the nest this little girl had started.
