About the workshop:
- 12-3 pm
- All levels welcome
After a hiatus of several years, the Crafty Possums are back after popular demand.
They’ve emerged from out of hibernation and ready to do what they do best: slowing down time and indulging you in a unique vintage high tea experience in Melbourne surrounded by like-minded women over the age of 18.
In this laid-back craft activity, you will have the chance to dust off those forgotten craft projects or dive into new ones. Combining vintage crockery, scrumptious scones, sandwiches, and other delicious treats, this whimsical experience takes place in a picturesque mudbrick studio at the legendary Montsalvat, its unique architecture reminiscent of olde South Of France.
- If you’re not quite sure what craft activity to bring along, Storyholding is a fully equipped and dedicated collage studio with all the tools and resources you need at your disposal.
- Unwind in a small group setting, disconnecting from screens to focus on your craft projects while enjoying a delightful high tea reminiscent of yesteryear.
- A safe space to share ideas, showcase skills, and explore potential collaborations with fellow craft enthusiasts.
- Escape from ordinary with this dream collab between Rochelle Van Der Merwe’s “Storyholding Art Studio” and Jess Waterman’s “B. Food Design And Catering” (also owner of “Little Mouse Teahouse”).
Prepare to feel inspired, relaxed, and creatively fulfilled by the end of this experience. Take home not only your beautiful creations but also the memories and connections made during this delightful gathering.
Gift yourself or a loved one(s) this golden opportunity to indulge in the hands-on therapeutic discipline of craft-making amongst like-minded individuals.
- High tea served on vintage wares
- Free access to all current exhibitions and Montsalvat’s beautiful grounds
- Tea, coffee, amenities and other super important elements that are needed to make a gathering like this flow smoothly.
Beginner-friendly to expert. All levels welcome.
Bring whatever crafty, offline project you’ve been meaning to work on (and now finally can!). You’ll also be welcome to help yourself to the collage materials and tools.
